Very interested in going down the throttle body route or even supercharger. money isn't really an issue so fire away with the ideas. if i need standalone management would I not be best going for a 3.0l first?

emerald management would be good, you might also want to think about reinforcing the engine with c20let pistons and getting a strengthened crank etc if you're going down a big power route. depends, eaton supercharger is available (m62?) which would be great, it's just that a lot of people say for the expense and the gains that you'd be better of getting a c20let and tuning that, but it all depends on what you're after. i love the idea of squeezing as much as poss out of a n/a v6 lump.

Been speaking with one of my mates and he reckons he will be able to fabricate anything I need to fit the supercharger, would it be better in the long run to get a 3.0l engine, rebuild that with uprgraded internals prior to slapping a charger on it? to be honest I am not interested in the LET, pure N/A grunt all the way for me.

theres a article in total vauxhall where supercharging the 3 litre v6 is covered, this was bulit using LET pistons

with the valve cut outs deepened to lower the compression!

you could use a 3.0 out of the box which would give you more torque as well as top end bhp alternatively chuck the 3.0 upgrades on to your 2.5, depends what's available really. the bits you need to fabricate will be exactly the same between the 2.5 and 3.0 anyway as it's really only the bottom end that would change in this application.

what are your timescales for starting work?

I think the throttle bodies would be the more unique route, don't think I have seen anyone on the forums that has done it to a cavalier, can you imagine the sound :love

timescale wise, well RAF life sends me down south in September, will be there for some time so the cavalier will be at home, I will most likely start my parts collection then and start on the cavalier once I get back home again.

i don't recall a v6 on tb's in a cavalier that's true, would be a good project.

So you're ruling out a charger then ;)

I've decided I would really like a sex change, preferably from 'none' to 'absolutely shitloads'

off to Halton, Aylesbury for just shy of 3 months, then back up to Boulmer for atleast a year unless I am lucky enough to get a detachment oversea's which I doubt since our government is chopping all funds for the forces. The cavalier will be kept at home, we live in the sticks so its safer there, can't nick what you can't find

what about this kit? most parts are supplied really, emerald ECU, throttle bodies, fuel rail, injectors etc. would most prob need some sort of manifold made up for the throttle bodies but hey cheaper than the Jenvey kit.

very much doubt it, a scoop would look gay, would have to look into the idea of getting a bulge in the bonnet to compensate for clearance.
