If you're concerned that engine mods are affecting idle, you can set your desired idle RPM via Tech1.
Did you use carb cleaner on the throttle body?!

I mentioned the Wynns to (Auto) Mark and he said he was using something similar. But if I see any Wynns I'll get some for myself.
I don't think the idle speed @ 1000 rpm is a problem in itself even with the hi-lift cam. It's just that idle mode was cutting in too late which caused the stalling. Mark has repeatedly recommended fitting a "milder" cam - reckons that what little I'd lose at the very top end would be more than compensated by gains lower down the rev range.
