Since fitting a new exhaust I'm having trouble with a
squeaking flexible sprung joint.
I've greased it a couple of times but it doesn't last
very long.
If anyone can suggest a permanent cure I'd be very
grateful.

Re: exhaust balljoint
Fit a new packing ring, the shaped washer that goes in the joint. That'll sort it.
"No the temperature gauge doesn't work........
we've driven 150 miles today........
the heater went cold last Thursday........
they check the level when it's serviced don't they?"

Re: exhaust balljoint
Thanks.I've just packed it with high temperature
copper grease but if it creaks again I'll try a new ring.

Agreed - a new ring should make a permanent fix.
Never had a squeak out of mine since I fitted it 3 years ago
