Exhaust fixings

Post by Mikebmth »

Guys,

I have to rebuild the exhaust system on the Cav and as a mate has access to ramps we are going to do it in his workshop but he has asked I get the Clamps and Gaskets and have no idea how many I will need.

I am presuming there is a gasket between the 2 parts of the manifold, one pre cat and one after then one at backbox?? :scratch

May as well replace all the hangers at the same time so what do I need? and best place to get them at reasonable cost as Halfrauds is bloody useless.

Cheers :thumb

Do you have a photo of the hangers you'll need? I might be able to help out following the replacement of all of mine with polybushes.

As for clamps, do you know what size you'll need? 54mm rings a bell. Let me know, got loads here.

Cheers, need them for Saturday morning so probably a motorfactors job.

Poly bushed my back box one as kept slipping off its mount.

Am I a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper? Well that depends on how much I've had to drink...
