So after spending many hours on the Cavalier today, changing oil, filter, lubricating cylinders & cams etc etc I finally got to turn it over and it started (after a good 30 secs of cranking on the 2nd attempt), but it ran but very rough. Weirdly, giving it some throttle made it drop revs while it idled better off throttle.
I noticed a hissing and found it peeing fuel from the fuel line Took a photo of the offending hose (luckily it's not the metal pipes!)

Unfortunately, I didn't have my axle stands with me so couldn't safely spend time underneath to remove and measure. From what I remember these two hoses are 10mm & 7mm ID, but can anyone confirm?
Thanks

Re: Fuel Lines
If it is a rubber hose, it should be 7.8mm bore (internal diameter).
It is that size to fit snug over 8mm metal diameter pipework.

Re: Fuel Lines
Thanks for the reply Robsey,
I've just attached the photo link.
Are they both 7mm or is one larger than the other?

Re: Fuel Lines
They should be the same bore.
Maybe one has been replaced previously.
Outer diameter should be about 13mm.

Re: Fuel Lines
Cheers Robsey,
Great, if they are that size then I have a length of that hose already. They'll be removed today and replaced.

Re: Fuel Lines
If that hose is cracked / split, have a look at the rest of the hoses on the car.
It is likely that other hoses may be cracking or splitting too.

Re: Fuel Lines
The hoses in the engine bay were recently replaced as they were leaking too. The metal pipes don't look too great though... Will need to be replaced soon.
