fuel tank

Post by stonecold »

just spotted that my fuel tank is leaking when the car is at a certain angle ....was just wondering would this cause my car to not start as good as one turn of the key and it used to start straight away ...now it takes a few turn overs like its having to pull the petrol threw ? ....ive been told its because the fuel system is pressurised and it will be sucking air threw the leak ..is this true ? btw my car is 94 cav 2.0 ..16v ...thanx

I'd personally cover it in stone chip first.

Cavalier tanks, regardless of fuel seem to rot around the seems where the two halves of the tank join together

I replaced mine september last year and before i replaced it, i had starting issues, idling issues and just poor running. Once the tank was changed, it pulled better through the gears and had a perfect idle
