What is the component indicated by the arrow, what is its function and should there be something else connected to it? The car is our Cav 2.0 CDX.

small valve on the vacuum pipe , dont worry its normal and ment to be like that

Also, am I right in thinking that the EGR valve can be cleaned in a similar way to the ICV?
