Front srut/hub separation

Front srut/hub separation

How do you go about taking the hub off the shock on a 1994 cavalier td it seem that the hub is pushed onto the shock rather that

bolted on with this type of setup

You cant, you change the insert on the shock by undoing the big nut

Thanks GAZ so the shock is inside the section the hub is on with the spring on top

yea once youve took the spring off its obvious how it come apart.

I take it you don't have said haynes manual but as gaz said the strut is inside the hub just remove the bolt, but use of spring clamps
would be good idea

Thanks lads I had planned to take the hub off to take it to get a new bearing pressed in .but i ill just send it in whole .

On another note is the front strut the same on a saloon and hatch back?
