Stuff we've seen on the road

Post by TurboDan »

I've copied this thread off migweb, they have one the same and its a great thread i think.

So anything interesting mainly car related or anything really that made you laugh, cry, or generally made you think "Thats great i'll take a pic" then post them up here!

I haven't even got one to start off with but i'm sure somebody will.

Where I live is in a bit of a time warp; there are loads of Cavs out and about so when other people say they never see them I can't help but feel that we're spoiled for choice! It seems like car ownership is about 20/30 years behind the rest of the country with the number of Mk2 Escorts, Capris and Chevettes that I see as daily drivers. Even a few Cortinas being used in anger. Anyway, I started taking pics of some of the older motors about so I'll start posting them here. I didn't get a snap of the DeLoreans that passed by last week but that was quite a sight!

This made me smile; anyone remember 'The Paradise Club' on BBC 1 donkeys years ago?

Loads of Cavs left on the road, but how many of these do you see? Well, loads in my town, but that's not the point...

This one raised an eyebrow or two, especially when it fired up. Crazy.

I'm tellin you man, it's like a timewarp, every day wandering up the high street and the road that runs parallel with it, it's like walking into 1986 or something...

Nope this is what it's like every day. Yesterday I saw another Sierra, two Cavs, a Chevette and a Nova saloon.

Not much happens round Hampshire, either. The only thing I see on a regular basis, apart from a couple of Cavs, is a lovely little mint condition Nissan Micra K10 (the 1980's one).
