Hi
I have just joined this club for the reason that I have just taken my faithful Cavalier off of the road as the clutch has “gone” Rather that just sending it for scrap I was hoping to put an advert in for it but I see from the rules I cannot do this as a new member. Please could someone advise me how I could let possible interested people know about it as I would rather it went to a club member for spares or repair instead of it just being scrapped. [1.8 GLS Cavalier hatchback first registered 07 01 1994]
regards
DT

Welcome to our forum.
So can you not have it replaced? Clutch isn't a major issue, or do you not have anyone who can come and help you with it?

Thank you for your replies for those who asked here are a few more details on the Cavlier.
Until a 6 weeks ago it was running perfectly but it is now a non runner due to the clutch problem. It has 360,000 on the clock but was running OK & the engine sounds as good as new, the only problems are a very slight oil leak from one of the seals under the engine and one or two minor “dinks” to the bodywork. At its last MoT in December 2011 it had some welding work done on the flooring. I have never had any major problems with it just several clutches 2 water pumps & an alternator. It is located in Bromley [SE London].

Hello and welcome to cavmk3oc.com. You are correct, you cannot post classified ads until you have reached 50 posts. This protects our members from random scammers/spammers who usually won't have the patience to post 50 times just to make a quid or two when there are other club forums with less stringent security policies!
You'll be surprised how quickly you can make the post count by popping into the General Chat section, or checking out the projects here and there.
In the meantime, welcome along and we hope you enjoy your stay!
