LED 501 w5w bulb recommendations?

Hi

I'm interested in changing the sidelights to LED bulbs and would also like to change the interior map reading light bulbs to LED. From what I understand they are the wedge type '501 5w5' bulbs? Are they any good LED replacements that are equal but if possible better for brightness that people can recommend?

At some point I'd like to do the indicator, brake and reversing light bulbs to get better brightness but reading through older thread on the forum it seems it's hard to get good LED replacement bulbs for that purpose?

I was looking at that type of bulb and I think while they may be very bright - it all seems to be directed out the end? so would be wasted in the headlights.
Unless you take a gamble and just buy a pair?

That what it looks like to me as well, that they might be too directional.

Quality of LED's varies hugely as well which effects the light output.
