Dash Pod to mount a colour display.

Post by Robsey »

I am looking for a pod that I can fit on top of my dash above the centre blower vents.

It is to fit a colour info display for my Sat Nav unit.

Previously I have fitted the display where the heater control panel sits, but that meant faffing with relocating the heater panel and bowden cables towards where the ashtray sits.

If I cannot find anything that doesn't look like a dog's back-side, then I guess relocating the heater may be the only option.

For info, the display dimensions are:-
Screen Only -
2.75" tall x 5" wide.
( 7 x 12.8cm)

Casing Complete -
4.25" tall x 6" wide.
(11 x 15cm).

I suppose that in generic terms, it is a 6" wide-format screen. :geek:

Any ideas that I can make to look tidy and not completely out of place?

Thanks for any input :D

I was wondering about possibly the Corsa-D graphic info display surround.

As long as it doesn't look like an angry zit on the dash top.

Definitely would need part number 4 - the bezel.
Hmm - now which cover?
7 or 6..?

Amazingly for Vauxhall it is only £16 for a bezel and a cover.
Almost within my budget...
