Rear cross member shot
Hi,
My V6 restoration has hit a road block my rear cross member is totally rusty.
Are there replacements available or would I have to make one?
Is it part of the rear panel and are they available anywhere?

I cannot see your image,
Do yo mean part number 12 or 14 in the diagram?
Thispage is taken from the Panels, Underbody section of the online parts catalogue.

It is a bit of pot luck.
Most parts are no longer available
But on the odd occasion there might be a panel lay in the corner of a dealership collecting dust.
If there is, try giving GPS (genuine parts search) a call with the part number.
https://www.genuinepartsearch.co.uk
GPS managed to get me a panel (14 in the diagram) from a dealership in Liverpool in 2016.
Otherwise, try a panel supplier, such as Carz2

I would suspect however that any "old" stock is probably long gone, so more than likely, you will need to fabricate this yourself.

Re: Rear cross member shot
Looks like I am out of luck on this part.
Re: Rear cross member shot
I find it frustrating that they list a part, with a price....
And then say it is not available.
GPS do this a lot too.

Re: Rear cross member shot
I have finally sourced the part, from the USA believe it or not!
Re: Rear cross member shot
Be careful that it isn't the wrong "Cavalier".
Those crazy yanks have a "Cavalier" as late as 2008.
If it is correct, can you give a supplier's link?

Yep - looks like the correct part.
But as said,
Where did you get it from?,
Just in case any other members wish to get one.
