well the other day i had a bit of fun lol

i welded the plate on the boot and a made a mistake when measureing lol a made it to short so i cut it in half and welded a plate to the back of the orginal one lol but i still have to to get some expanding foam behind the plate to try and stop as much movement as i can so it wont crack the filer on the top of it :D

anyway heres the pic's of how the boot stands now :)

The primer is a porous layer of paint, so will be letting moisture through to the body work.

there is a vw polo i see on the way to work each morning, guy spent most of last summer doing it up then left it in primer and on the side of the road all over winter. panel rust and flash rust coming through all over the rear quarters, wings everything. will need to rub it back and start all over again. couldnt work out why he did it if he didnt intend on painting straight away. then again maybe his circumstances have changed. nevertheless, i was a bit concerned that cavyboi;s motor is going to suffer the same injustice, which is a shame due to the level of work that has gone into this so far.

well as i have promised here is a few pic's of the cav in the process of it being moved lol

the cav on the back of my mate truck

Image

well i had a bit of bad news when the cav came off the truck

Image

the add on (front bumper) got ripped off and the cav ended up runing it over at the same time :( but never mind it will go on and be redone better this time and with a few little tweeks at the same time but the only reason why it happened was because the rear bumper was only 4 inches from the ground

hope you have enjoyed the the good but bad update lol

I had a feeling that would happen but with a kurb or something like that. I wouldnt bother with it imo as it will keep getting snapped off/cracked
