Hello,
ive been popping in on this site everyday for the past month and i love it, so i thought id say hello properly
My names Ben, im 26 and live in southampton, im a HGV Mechanic, got great wife and kids and been a vauxhall man all my life, even back when my dad had a cav, although we lived in germany at the time and it was called a vectra over there. my 1st car was a nova, i loved it, it had 15's, twin DTM tail pipe, GSi front grill and a huge ICE, then went onto a MK4 Astra, 3dr with 17's, 5inch japcan, Gsi rear spoiler, lexus lights it was gorgeous, sadly i had to sell it. Fortunatly i was given a Corsa SRi 1.4 8v, i tell ya what it was mega quick for what it was, that went and i bought a MK3 astra cos it has the extra doors, i potting about in that at the mo while the wife has the Vectra SRi. Then an oppertunity came up i couldnt refuse, a Cavalier GSi 2000 4x4 for £50, non runner but i was more interested in the engine, i was gonna transplant it into the astra.
After picking the cav up on a trailer, i got it home and took 2 steps back, glanced at it and the same thing happened that i read so much about on here, i fell in love with it, the way it looked in the sun, it almost smiled and winked at me, then i knew it was begging to be put back to its former glory, so i decided to keep it. She's on course for a full restoration and a good clean up, you can see pictures on the showroom forum, under "£50 bargin"
So there you have it folks hello and thanks for a cracking website.

Hello Ben and welcome to Cav MK3, glad your enjoying the site, its what we aim for
Lovely to hear your a Vauxhall bloke through and through, A lot of people on here get Cavs as runarounds then end up falling for them, they really are a very under estimated car
Another person who found a bargain GSi, id love one, but i already own 2 cars so its not possible at the moment.
Anyway Ben, make yourself at home and feel free to ask if you need any help or advice.
welcome again
