There's a guy in Peterlee is use now and then. Was going to see him about most of the stuff.

Its just the yellow flashes on the side and the BTCC 4 surround I'm not sure about.

I cant find a decent photo showing all of it.

Was going to do the BBS's in White, (Calibre DTM style),
Image

Image

Then when the touring car graphics are done the white 5spokes will go on (BTCC style)

Image

I've got a copy of Vauxhall sport from 1995, it has a review of the seasons new car. It shows it having the white 5 spokes. I know in a lot of action photos its wears black Motorsport wheels.

Well here is the car when I picked her up last Saturday (Un T-cutted)

Image

And once I'd fiited the Bargin BBS's

Image

Havent got a phot yet of it after I've T-cutted and polished both car and wheels yet!

I Managed to get my hands on a brand new Genuine GM Front bumper in primer for £9.99

Image

and brand new grill

Image

I've added the front spoiler and taken it to the bodyshop to get painted up.

Image
.

I had kept the rear lights and panel off the CDX when I fitted the turbo's, so I've painted them and the gril. Juts need a new badge for the front, but Vauxhall no longer sell them :wall

Image

Excuse my phone photo's lol.

I know the BTCC never had K&N signs, but it covers up where i pulled the paint off. Once I Find a cheap set of Turbos' I use them instead.

More updates to come when the happen.

Well went to a breakers yard on Saturday, got my self a standard boot lid, rear bumper and set of door handles which I'm busy sanding down.

Hand the car survised and a good going over at the garage too. All she needs is a CAT back exhuast and new discs and pads all round. (Which I was wanting to upgrade anyways)

The sils and bottom of the doors need a tidy up tho. as they've been bodged.

So they'll be getting sanded down and repainted at some point.

It's a Rieger one mate. Its the closet thing I could find that looked like a Touring car splitter. I've just picked up a spoiler for £16.10, its not as wide as a Touring spoiler. But it will do for now I guess. I may be needing to stick a new engine is as I fooked mine when changing the plugs. Shame cos it was running sweet as a nut before that :cry

Well I sourced an engine with 3.0litre cams. So I'll be getting that fitted in the next month with
1- new cambelt,
2- new aux belt,
3- low milage oil cooler,
4- new plugs,
5- 8mm red Ht leads,
6- 3.0 injectors,
7- 3.8bar fpr,
8- Vectra cam covers,
9- New Water pump.
10- New thermostat.

Hopefully that is nice and sutble enough to give it a bit extra power over the standard c25xe.

And I'm chuffed to bits,,,,,,,,,, I've got a brand new still in maindealer packet front gril badge for only £7.50

It'll will be the finishing touch to the body work once its all finished.

Hopefully I'll be heading down to Manchester in a few weeks so some very friendly fellows can help me fit new brakes and drop it on some springs.

BSS wheels are getting refurbed in white next month.

She's getting there slower and surely. Dont know if it'll be all done for TV live in August tho.

Well I've just seen the bumpers at the body shop. They look so good all white including the top bumpstrip parts. Cants wait do get them fitted and the springs put on to lower the stance. Took the car to the garage. he siad it sounds just top end. as its alot better than it was. So I've stuck some Forte flush in and tomorrow I'll be sticking some fresh vauxhall oil in, and see if a good flush sorts it out. Fingers crossed it doent need head work or a new engine fitted.

I have onje sitting here but I'd rather not have the expence of fiting if it can be helped. The least I'll do is fit all the new bits including the G cams tho.

The ebay spolier I bought really isn;t wide enough :wall Any one got a touring car style spolier for sale?

I'll keep you posted with the Progress.

What do you think?

I'm not planning a stripped out track car. as its an auto.

Its going to have the standard Cesaro sports interior. but with only the exterior being a 1995 BTCC Winner replica.

Anyone got any 5stud wheels????? Ive got these...
brand new in boxes.
Image
but they are 4studs.

So unless I swap the v6's hubs for one off another cav I'll need to get some more wheels.

i love those wheels you selling haha

Yep that Cavalier saloon BTCC replica sure looks nice,
but I couldn't have one...too many jealous scrotes round here would trash it. :(

I remember seeing this in the Vauxhall Sales brochure, when I bought my wife her Cav in December 1995.

Well with a Forte' flush which was in the car for a day and 40 miles I darined the oil. It was as black as black paint,,, oif not blacker. So a new filter and GM oil. (Bloody rip off £32) the engine is a lot quieter. Still a little tappy. but she runs fine, So I'm in no hurry to fit the new engine. The one I bought off Ianv6 on here is an 180k engine running G inlet cams. So I'm in two minds.

1, Rebuild the engine over time like I did the 3.0 in the other cav, then get it fitted. So know its perfect.

or

2. Buy a 3.0 block and heads and use the g cams and rebuild that as well. Seen an engine minus cams for £195.

What should I do? Is £200 worth the upgrade from Gsi to mv6 power?

I also spend some time with dash of the cesaro. The heater controls now light up again. :D fited my old Flip down sony cd player and a control stalk next to the tvr metal stalks. I was going to do a Vectra steering wheel with contols. But the airbag light was on. So I'm going to get a more BTCC themed Momo steering wheel set up to go with the exterior.

I'm well happy I havent ruine dmy engine completey. so next week end I'll strip the inlet manafold off and fit the plastic devider and new plugs and leads and metal cam cover to the rear bank.
