that termostat housin part never turned up , went into the autofactor n they told me i had to buy it with the termostat , €130 + vat , so fudge that . I'll hav to wait till i know of a redtop bein broken in the area .
Never got the driveshaft sorted either , i'll probs cut the damaged thread of it , hopefully then i'll get the nut on .
The car now is out lyin in the grass , lookin a bit sad haha . I ended up havin to buy another car for work.

So i'll wait n see if i can find the termostat part

i got hold of a termostat housing today :) , will need to put it on wen i get home .

But another problem i hav with the car is that wen i go to start the car it will turn over but wont fire , so i took out 1 of the sparkplugs to see if it was gettin the spark whilst turnin the engine and there is nothing.
I checked over all the wires n plugs to see if they were all connected and they are , is there anything else that i wud hav had to change on my car to get it going?

The redtop engine , brain , and wiring loom are all in, is ther anything else that im missing? :scratch

shouldn't be too hard to get one of these, possibly LMF, Vauxhallworldparts or Vauxhall Green Spares....or you could ask EnvoyCDX, as he has more parts that Vauxhall themselves...not sure what spec's they are though.

Most of the instant gasket gels will be fine.

I use a white gel, in a "Ford" oem tube (sorry for mentioning the dark side :no )

(I had lost my new rubber O Ring from my new stat, and so had to re-use the old one. - No problems so far, after about 5 months of use).

Blue Hylomar is fine aswell, used to use this all the time.
I under-stand from other forums, that the red Hermatite is not so clever.
Apparently it was used a lot for vintage motor-bikes, but it did not hold it's sealing capabilities for very long.

Does that mean you'll be having a test-drive later today or tomorrow?

Excellent....waiting with baited breath. :thumb

There is a parallel thread on the forum, (just realised it is yours)

to save me re-typing, you could look at my thoughts on page 2
