Eletric windows

One window never went down when the button was pressed but I tried to fix it today and now no window will go down or up I don't think theres power going to any them of them .fuses are all okay is there a relay or anything

Sounds like the switches are nackered.

I put a wire from the white wire to an earth .could this of busted the swtichs?

why did you do that? thats the rear door illumination wire, check all the fuses, i had something similar once with the interior light that knocked a load of stuff out

I was trying to wire up my back windows .Lol.well that turned out to be a stupid move.checked all the fuses none were blown

Just gonna take it to an autospark then.hope it doesn't take too long at 30 pound a hour :wall

Try a spare switch from a breakers yard, double check the fuses, just because it looks ok, doesnt mean it is, you can get hairline breaks in fuses.

Do the switches still light up? if not, should be a duff fuse.

Change the fuse for another, could save you £30 an hour.

There's a fella giving me a front windows switch tomoro going to try that .ive tons of fuses suppose there's no harm in trying

If you got load of spares it isnt going to cost you anything at all, just 5 minutes time.

Most likely fused the resistor pack on the switch.
Swap the switches out and start from there.
Check the Rules!

I changed 5 fuses and the lights are back with power!!!.but they only work with the door open so I think broke wire?
If the ignition is off the windows only work if the drivers door is open.

The grey door pin on the car which goes in when the door close has to be out for thwindows to work. .if its in they don't work.think I need a new front and rear switch

Last night they were working again by themselves as it went for MOT.thankfully she passed :thumb but the windows seem to have a mind of their own
