Coolest Mini build thread I've seen in a while, well worth a read.

Re: '72 Mini C20XE
I spent some time with this car last week for a feature we are doing. I will post my reference pics of it up later this evening. It is owned by a guy from the Vauxhall press office. His grandfather bought it new and it has passed down through the family so holds real significance. Great build.

Re: '72 Mini C20XE
Love it, except for the engine sticking out of the bonnet, which spoils it in my opinion. I attended a guy a year or so ago that had a mini squirrelled away in his garage that he had been working on a honda vtec conversion. The clearances were really tight, and it had virtually solid engine mounts, but it fitted under the front end.

What you do in your own time is entirely your own business but please bear in mind that there are children present.I attended a guy a year or so ago

OK, I was called out to a guys Ford Focus, who happened to have a mini too, and a Range Rover and several other interesting vehicles. I did not attend him personally in any way, nor was it in my time, it was in time I sold to RAC!humbucker wrote:What you do in your own time is entirely your own business but please bear in mind that there are children present.I attended a guy a year or so ago

These are some of the pics I took when I was with the car last week. Thought it might give you a better look at the bonnet recess!

Granted it's very well done, just don't like it with the engine sticking out. Not on the same scale as Andrei and Italy though.
