Looks like some great driving roads. Where exactly is the route then, A to B I mean? And is the 500miles the round trip e.g. do you have to turn around and head back the way you came or is there another route back? Get some more pics up, looks stunning.
Can't beat the roads up here no police helicopters due to most of the north east being under raf air space plus not much
speed cameras. Some of the best are the A9,A95 even the A82 which runs down the side of loch ness, worth the drive
performance car heaven.
Agreed. Its drivers. There was a twonk on the way up passed us in a clio 182 as he was doing 70 in a 40. Idiot. People like him would suffer on those roads as they are stupid.
Thats very true. there has been allot of accidents on the A9 in years past. i agree tho it can be a great drive. single lane parts can be a bit annoying with lorrys and caravans but you get that on every road.
According to James (Astra VXR) there were countless folk doing a double take as four old Cavaliers rocked on past. As far as the route goes, the road to Applecross is pretty mental but I'd say the roads back from Inverness over the Lecht and so on were as good, if not better. In fcat, I'd probably say were weren't on a dull road for the entire duration of the trip!
We NEED to do this more often! Fook this polishing and parking in a field bollocks!

I can remember "doing" the Bealach na Ba and Sgurr a' Chaorachain (great fun) years ago in my H-reg, so both of us can confirm that the pics are genuine! Seem to remember hiring a boat at Applecross village to recover after the climb and descent.

If folk wanted to pursue this I have a suggestion for a possible venue in Pitlochry north of Perth right next to the A9. Not exactly next door to Applecross but ideal as a central "base"
