Well, as long as it's going ahead then I shall be there.
If people don't turn up will that push the price up for the RR?

Hiya,
I am new here and sorry for sounding a bit stupid but what is the rolling road thing......what happens to the cars on the rollers?
I have a Cavalier 1.7 diesel and i think i could make the 13th of September if diesel cars are allowed?

hello Steve,

a rolling road is basically a machine that measures the BHP the engine produces at the wheels, and then by letting it run down in 4th gear i think, they convert the mechanical drag to the BHP at the flywheel, so what the engine is actually producing.

im sure diesel's are aload, and it would be good to see what your cav chucks out.

on another note, im trying to talk Mike (gsi cavboy), and Pete (vxrmad) to bring their cavs along to the RR day.
pete has a redtop SRI cav, and Mike has my old girl, a 1.8 8v Carb, with ported+ polished head + inlet manifold, and a Weber carb on it. trouble with Mike's cav is, she aint Mot'd yet ( going next Fri for one), and then when she passes, she'l be getting insured + taxed. still a good few weeks before the RR day anyway, and then Mike will be driving her upto the RR day (down country lanes etc, as he's only got a prov licence lol).

so fingers crossed, thats another 2 cavs coming to the RR day.
my driveway's like a 1986 vauxhall forecourt lol (apart from my mk3 cav's!
