How do you remove saloon parcel shelf carpet/cover?
How do you remove saloon parcel shelf carpet/cover?
Guys, as above, Ive got it loose at the back seats edge and sides, also popped the 3 or 4 plastic clips from under the rear windrcreen area but it seems stuck in right along the rear window..... have i missed something???

the triangular window trim? its loose all the way up to the corners of the rear window, i can lift the shelf and it all seems to hinge along the window if that makes sense....Gaz wrote:Have you took the side panels off?

strange then. I remember taking my last saloon one off no probs. this seems different. ive pushed the white clip things into the parcel frame, so they are loose. i dont understand why it wont come away! oh well some brute force is about to be applied!!Gaz wrote:sounds like that should be it,

i had to push the carpet shelf and force it out by pushing a screw driver in through the holes under the metal shelf, it was well glued!

Has anyone ever fitted speakers in this rear shelf on a saloon i was thinking of trying this but to look at from inside the boot it looks like it may not be possible

Re: How do you remove saloon parcel shelf carpet/cover?
I just fitted huge magnet vibe 6x9s.. Best way is to hold them under the shelf from in the boot and drill screws up into the shelf. Basically fitting them from the underside. No need to cut the shelf that way and maintains the structural integrity.3.0cav.v6 wrote:Has anyone ever fitted speakers in this rear shelf on a saloon i was thinking of trying this but to look at from inside the boot it looks like it may not be possible

Ah rite ok sounds like a plan did you put any holes at all in the shelf to let some sound through or did the sound come through ok like that

Yea remove the old speakers then fit the new ones in line with the hole left by the old speakers.3.0cav.v6 wrote:Ah rite ok sounds like a plan did you put any holes at all in the shelf to let some sound through or did the sound come through ok like that
