Re: My project
Whoa! I remember those window stickers! Often accompanied by a huge red reflector across the boot panel! What's the spec of the old girl?
Re: My project
You know what I love it!!
One of my mates when I left school had a Montego Turbo that was modified as a Ice Sound Off car with a huge install in it but still seated 5 people...Just don't see these anymore so well done mate

Free Parking is a bonus, leaving my Cav in a carbon dust filled carpark is not.....

Re: My project
nice
Re: My project
She has been lowered at the back by an inch, new headliner put in, new alternator and back flash on the rear window. Wheels were sprayed black with mg tape trim and mg logo stickers. What needs to be done is to locate a water leak somewhere in the drivers foot well, welding in the rear drivers side door shut and because she has been sat for a while brakes need looking at. I have another grille to put on as well cause that is not the original grill. The grill it has on at the moment was when Rover took over from austin, i have the grill which has the mg emblem on it waiting to go on. I have always had a soft spot for Montegos i would love to get one day montego countryman 2.0 turbo diesel estate with the seven seats getting very rare now.
I will keep you all posted with this as it progresses.

Re: My project
At least Cavaliers have faired better than Montegos over the years.
There are only 87 of them left on the road now according to howmanyleft.co.uk
Very sad.

Does look very nice mate. I don't mind the Montegos, they stood out to me from all the rest. Certainly one of a kind nowadays.
