I used one and it didn't make an ounce of difference. So I think it depends on if the batterys in good condition in the first place and also on the make/quality of the solar charger your using.
Ive looked on ebay and there are a few different power outputs available. With masive cost differences between cheap and expensive ones.

I know thats best but at the moment the car has to sit outside. As garage is small and full of other stuff.

I've got a 1W output & it does not charge as claimed just maintains the charge. I've put my multi-meter on it & disconnected it puts out 20V then connected it drops down to whatever voltage the battery level is at.

Extension lead would be more inviting to car thieves I'd imagine as they'd suss out that you're keeping the battery charged or even heating the interior.....

No, although b, m, and p are a little awkward to pronounce.

With the weather being nice this weekend. I dug out the cavalier key , connected the battery and fired the car up. Started no problem this time since I got a new battery couple of months back. Then a set about giving the car a wash and polish. Been to long since it got polished.

When I was checking if everything was working. I found the heated rear window switch is not lighting up when turned on and the number plate bulb was out to. It turned out I need a new switch and the housing has seen better days for the number plate bulb. So ive ordered a new housing with led bulb to go in it. I then went led mad and ordered led bulbs for all interior lights. Should be nice and bright when the doors are opened. Also led bulbs in the side lights.

Pics to follow once bulbs fitted.

Sit down for this bit of news......... the cavalier is going on the road this year!!!!. Ive sorted out insurance to start on1st of may. Been busy sorting out some wee jobs that needed doing and getting stuff ordered. Like oil change, fuel filter, wiper blades etc. Ive had to paint my winter wheels and order new imscher center caps. As ive the car entered in to a classic car show in may. The proper wheels are still needing powder coated and new rubber. Its all go just now on the cavalier. The bill is getting bigger daily.

I got the leds from ebay. You need 42mm and 38mm interior bulbs then 501 w5w for the spot lamps in the interior
Light. The 38mm are for the rear grab handles and 42mm for interior light, boot light, bonnet light and glove box light. Ive also got a T5 led bulb to change the one in the heater control.
