The rear photo looks like a escort, are you slowly turning into a ford????

I like the blue cavalier with calibra lights.

What you should do is draw a picture of how you want the cav to look finished, you're really brave doing it the way your doing it, But I'm scared that you're going to add too many things with out thinking about the final result. Its what makes the difference betwwen Show stopping magazine cover cars and cars you see in a car park and think, "oh dear"

At the end of the day the front end has to blend into the back, so head lights have to suit what ever your plannig for the rear. You've come so far, I hate to see it take a bad turn and look mismatched.

You obviously have skills, because the sri skirts look seamless! amazing work.

Get a pencil and paper out and start sketching side veiws, and make sure all the lines follow on from the front to rear.

Any idea of a colour yet? cream body with red top would look good. Two tone, witha pin stripe, like that mark 5 astra at PVS.

Hope the winter dosen't steel too many days from you mate.

Keep up the good work.

looks like its nearly there mate .... i would stop short at the guttering IMO .

obviously! You know what you want, but the issue, is knowing when to stop before it starts looking ridiculars and detracts from the original idea

i see where you all are coming from but i also want a one off that know onw has done i was going to get m3 side skirts and mod them to fit before the guttering idea came about and as im not in work at the minuite im just thinking of ideas from every angle (if that makes sence)

me and the misses have had more than a few arguements about the cav as she wants differant things on it (chavy things) and i dont want it to look chavy as i have bought a few cars that were chaved up and i have put tham back to standard, as i have had more cars than i have had hot dinners

the final colour is going orange but i did work in a place called hex holdings and i can go out the back and make my own orange up so the orange will be a one off but write down what i use so i can make the same colour again if needed

i am not keen on red, green or yellow but i dont fancy the cav going back to blue again after all this work

i am not keen on calibras other wise i would use bits off of one of them

if any of you could do what you wanted in a list what would you do??

orange looks well, especially with some black detailing your choice of colour is ticked on my wanted list .
the side skirt idea as well and gets another tick but the list has a big fat "X" where the 3 metre length of B+Q guttering was

Psst! buy the missus her own car

i will be having black

wheels
tinted window's
a few black graphics and a few orange ones in the windows
orange calipers so you will see them threw the wheels
black headlights
ect.....

i was going to get m3 side skirts but i have been watching a lot of them on ebay and they go for a hell of a lot on there thats another reson why i thought and possably going to use guttering

the misses will NOT be driving the cav when its all done as she can get used to the lengh of the cav, as she drove it when it was std and she put it in a hedge in a car park lol

go to CFSnet.co.uk buy a shed load of matting and resin then pop to b&q and get some compressed polystyrene, shape the polystyrene and cover in furniture wax then coat in fine matting and resin then coarse matting and resin (at this point once a couple of layers of fine matting have been laid down you can use old builders bags and resin) this gives a mould then you can coat the inside of this in furniture wax and repeat the process, once you have several layers of fiber-glass down incorporate the relevant mounts into the fibre-glassing. You can do this with carbon fiber and the above website sells it... if that's your bag... baby...

The difficulty comes with making the sides identical.

Nick i'm sorry we had to withdraw your pic, but that particular site has caused us some troubles in the past (especially when this site first started). I don't want to rake all the old trouble up again so have asked staff to ask certain members not to blatantly promote that particular site.

thank you

You were pm'd after your signature was removed, and then the reference in "website" was also removed.

But, just don't do it again and all will be fine :D :wave
