hii all :D just wunded if any 1 could help me with my cav, some plonker has decided to cut the cat out and weld (very badly :fight ) a bit of pipe in its place, but i was reading on here that its not a good idea to take the cat off a x20xev could this be y shes running alittle rough ?
and another thing i just recently changed the oil and replaced it with gtx 10w 40w is this oil any good ? :grommit

Not really, it should be a touch better without the cat but if the exhaust is leaking its not going to help,
With the xev its normally a case of new plugs leads oil and filters and a coolant temp sensor, normally sorts them out.
check the exhaust isnt leaking at the head as the xev has a habit of snapping head studs.

Oil is fine i use the vauxhall 10/40 semi myself as its cheap on trade,

mm kk well i cleaned up the carb the other day and i took the carb then the icv and give that a good clean but wen i started it up it shot up to 3000rpm and wouldnt drop so i left it over night and now its fine :S is this due to cleanin it

probably as its opened more than normal due to it not being clogged up with grease and grime, if its fine dont worry
