Top Gear Then, Is Shumacher REALLY the Stig?

Post by rp9524 »

I thought it was a pretty cool moment but thinking about it, do you really think its him, or just a stunt?

The FXX he drove is shumachers own, and is the only one painted like that.

Some are saying he may be one of several stigs, but i really dont know, he ould i suppose be the one who does the power laps.

And that fxx, could that really get over a speedbump? it leaped off the track when it went over a bump?

I agree. I know he retired from F1 and that, but even so, it would seem too easy to guess it was him. It just didnt feel like all that exciting to see him under there for some reason :scratch .They had to use someone else, most probably the guy Gaz mentioned :)

I had read it was ben collins too, and as another nail in this coffin, in the credits it still says the stig on presenters and shumacher was the special guest

isnt schumacher senior advisor to the ferrari f1 team? would make getting to the top gear studios week on week a little difficult when he's travelling with the ferrari team from location to location...

There have been a few Stigs. Julian Bailey, Perry McCarthy, but there's no way Shumey is. I reckon Ferrari sent him because they have to make sure that car puts in the fastest lap possible and as mentioned before, the BBC couldn't afford him.
It's a stunning car that FXX. The Ferrari team had one at Knockhill last year along with two F360 racing cars, and Barrichello's 2003 F1 car. Now that F1 motor going round the track on it's own at full bung was something else!
