Project!

I may just be getting my hands on this V6 Cesaro Saloon for £300

I just need to soucre a few mods and set of wheels and turn it into this! for my winter cavalier, and use thye 3.0 in the summer.

What do you think?

I'm not planning a stripped out track car. as its an auto.

Its going to have the standard Cesaro sports interior. but with only the exterior being a 1995 BTCC Winner replica.

Anyone got any 5stud wheels????? Ive got these...
brand new in boxes.
Image
but they are 4studs.

So unless I swap the v6's hubs for one off another cav I'll need to get some more wheels.

Cheers bud. I'm hoping to do it on a cheap budget.

Car, Wheels, Service parts, Lowered suspension, Front and rear spoliers, and graphics all for £1000 or less.

So hopefully the suspension will be second hand etc.

I know wheels are the most expensive part. Dont know weather to buy a set of 5stud. or convert the v6 to 4 stud and sell the 5stud setup on?

Thanks Gaz, Yeah I'd probles ask you to ask him about more nearer the time. I would really like a set of Team Dynamics Pro race 3 in white, but they are £600+ new. Thats twice the price of the car lol.

The only interior mods will be CDX/GSI woodtrim in the doors. (Colour coded Yellow) or white with

Mobil 1

Would it not be better to keep it as 5 stud?
I kinda get the feeling its got 5 instead of 4 for a reason...
Safety first and all that....

Thanks Carriesgirl, My gf dosent like the yellow stripes much! lol. But it is the winning 1995 car so It has to be done.

I'll probles not bother with the big Griffin on the roof as the car has a sunroof. But i'll probles cover the glass with white vynl.

5 stud means bigger brakes, and the stud pattern looks better.

I've just been talkin to the seller, the old man that sold it to him had sent £2800 on the bodywork and new cam belt and has receipts to prove it. He has 2 cossie's and has no room for the cav, so he's selling it on.

Kinda a shame to moddify a standard cavalier in such good nick.

But would I be forgiven for doing it a hommage to Clelands 95 car?

Personally, I would go for it!! I think you would be forgiven especially as you are reminding everyone of Clelands Legacy and the Cav's Long and Illustrious Pedigree!!!! :thumb :thumb :D

To be honest I'm tempted to use the AMG copy wheels I've got. shown on the white SRi. I know that means retro fitting 4 studs, but I'm sure there's ppl out there still wanting a 5 stud set up. So I could always sell the 5studs on.

The wheels i've got are brand new, and I doubt i'd get what i paid for them if i sold them on.

Well the plan is to pick up the Cesaro on saturday. Then get the 3.0 back on the road in april. The new car will be stored away at work. And I'll have 6 months to get her ready for use in October for the winter 6months.

I think you now I'll sort the interior out and soutce parts. I'm not modding the bodywork until I have the wheels and suspension sorted. As it would look pants all BTTC'd up running on sky high springs and 15's lol.

I just looked thro the new Deamon Tweek cataloge and there are only 2 sets of wheels in it that will suit the look I want.

Team Dynamics Pro race 3

and

Speedline Challange.

I'll keep looking for a cheap alternative.

lol, glad we didn't start a bidding war!

I was thinking about puuting the front splitter and spoiler on the car and the wheels in white for now. Then once I have the suspension done and I've bought the Other alloys, I was going to do the graphics and add the yellow parts as a oner.

I have no idea how to do the yellow flashes yet?
