TV Live - The Rare and Endangered Display

Post by Turbodave »

Afternoon folks

I've been set the slightly daunting task of trying to secure as many endangered and rare Vauxhalls as possible for a special display at TV Live on the 7th of August at Castle Combe. So far I've come up with a short (?) list of cars that we'd like, now begins the task of actually finding them and getting them to Castle Combe.

So, if you have or you know of anybody who has any of the following in as near standard specification as humanly possible and who can be at Castle Combe bright and early on the 7th of August then please get in touch.

Incidentally, if there are other cars out there that you feel should be included in this display and meet the above criteria, again, get in touch.

The list so far...

Corsa GSi 16v (sourced and confirmed)

Mk2 Astra GTE 16v

Cavalier turbo

Calibra turbo

Belmont SR or SRi

Nova GSi

Lotus Carlton

Opel GT

Opel Ascona

Mk2 Cavalier SRi 130 – in any bodystyle

Mk3 Cavalier SRi – 8v or 16v in any bodystyle

Opel Monza

Carlton GSi 3000 – 12v or 24v

Senator 24v

Mk3 Cavalier V6 – Any trim spec and bodystyle

Mk3 Cavalier GSi2000

Omega MV6 – facelift version and in Elite or Sport spec

VX220 Lightening

Calibra DTM – 16v, V6 or turbo

Mk1 Astra GTE

Nova SR or SRi

Vectra GSi estate – pre or post facelift

Viva GT

Chevette HS or HSR

Mk3 Astra convertible

Mk3 Astra GSi – Redtop or ecotec

Magnum 2300

Firenza droopsnoot

Viva HB 2000GT

Mk4 Astra 888 coupe

Mk5 Astra 888

Corsa C SRi

Carlton Diamond estate

Vectra ST200

Thanks in advance

Dave

Rather an elitist list.

If you want rare how about : a mk2 cav 2 door 1.3 auto ? I saw one for sale once, and still wish I'd bought it

Is that a Manta-A or B ?

I bet there will be a lot less around now, due to the recent scrappage scheme.

Well, with respect it is "Total Vauxhall - The Performance Vauxhall Magazine" so the clue is in the title and yes we are aware that a 1.0 Y plate Nova is rare as is a 1904 Prince Henry, but this is a performance Vauxhall show so hence we'd like the flagship and sports models.

So back on topic, can anybody from the "Mk3 Owners Club" provide us with any of the Cavalier MK3's on the above list and also be at Castle Combe on the 7th in exchange for complimentary passes and a vehicle pass?

If so, get in touch please.

Cheers
