i started off with a mk1 cav 2.0L sports hatch way back in 1989 then had an alfa sud clover leaf sold it for £150 and some guy phoned me a couple of years later to tell me it was a show car and worth £8000 , then onto mk2 cav SRi's had about 5 or 6 and the best cav i had was a 1990 mk3 cav SRi in white loved that car had it for about 5 years must have put 70,000 miles on it one clutch and one head gasket good old 8 valves bullet proof lolRobsey wrote:Nice to see some Mk2's still going strong.

funny you should say executive looking was originally bought buy a lawers firm in london as a company car and the guy i bought it of got it from them when it was 2 years old he kept it for 22 years then i bought it in dec 2009 , won it on ebay for the grand sum of £560.01p and he had 22 years of documented history not every ones cup of tea been automatic but its a blast to drive and the kick down is awsome from tickover to red line in a spilt secondbranny361 wrote:![]()

the alloy wheels were an optional extra on the mid spec sri , i have a spare set that still need refurbed , its a really solid car with only 10" off welding on both sills and had 2 new rear arches fitted last year , total spend so far is about £2000 not bad reallyscotty GSI wrote:love the mk2s! rare to see the sri's on the original wheels.
