hi, just a question on how do some cavs sit so low?
i have lowered a diplomat 60mm looked good and the latest 40mm which looks normal, so how can you get them even lower (using 14 inch rims)
lowering?
Re: lowering?
I fitted some stupidly short springs on the back end but they didnt have much travel at the back so couldnt live with them on a daily basis so took them off, its always the back end you can never get low enough from experience.
Re: lowering?
what proper seating lowering springs? there are an awkward shape to get really low
Re: lowering?
yea they had an offset centre, so one end was to the left and the other to the right of centre so it sat correctly on the axle and the body.
Still got them on the shelf in the garage.

Re: lowering?
dont surpose you have a picture of springs to give an idea of what there is and if i should lower more or not
thanks for your help

Re: lowering?
The trick is to use Nova or corsa rear springs on the back, this will get them nice and low and still drive ok. They will fit in fine.
Re: lowering?
what a 60mm lowering corsa spring to get it nice and low or a standard one because of the extra weight? thanks
Re: lowering?
Not got a picture to hand but they are tiny 3 loops total.
Standard corsa springs dont lower it anymore than a 30mm kit just make it horrible at the back due to a crap spring rate, lowered nova/corsa springs work better, gives you an even 60mm drop rather than arse high.
Sat seriously low
